 When using Vidalia (TBB/Linux) unselecting the 'Configure ControlPort
 automatically' check box has no effect, and upon restart the check box is
 again selected. Therefore, it is not possible via the Vidalia interface to
 use static ports for SOCKS/Control. The following manual process works,
 and must be applied once for each new TBB download:

 - edit Data/Vidalia/vidalia.conf and set:

     AutoControl=false

 - edit Data/Tor/torrc and set:

     SocksPort 9050
