 Runa said that an XMPP bot would likely use the protocol specified in
 [http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0096.html].  That spec mentions ‘in-band
 bytestreams’, which would send the file over the IM protocol, so the
 connection shouldn't be much easier to block than the IM connection
 itself.  (Assuming, of course, that users' XMPP clients don't try ‘SOCKS5
 bytestreams’ first, get blocked, and give up on the file transfer
 entirely.)

 But XMPP servers usually rate-limit client connections, so our bot could
 get verrryyy ssslllooowww if people actually use it.
