 As I understand it, both “different than” and “different from” are
 acceptable there, although I prefer “different from” (and didn't know that
 “different than” was valid at all until relatively recently).

 But both messages are inaccurate -- subsequent connections ''will'' be
 ‘different from’ the user's old connections, whether the user pushes the
 ‘New Identity’ button or not.  What we mean is: “Subsequent connections
 will not be linkable to your old connections.”

 Except not really -- we don't even try to do something NEWNYM-ish to
 Polipo or Firefox, and we can't tell other programs that the user has told
 to connect through Tor to ‘use a new identity’.

 I don't know how to convey what that button actually does accurately
 without using the term “circuit”, and users are unlikely to understand
 that.
