 cheap and now that you don't need a separate port for it, there's no extra
 thing the operator needs to do.

 In theory, the extra bandwidth.  It means more fetching (since you must
 fetch more stuff more often), and more serving.  If you're a low-bandwidth
 router, you might rather spend your time on traffic than on directory
 stuff.

 But this may not matter; we should get numbers and do a proper proposal.
