 confusing UI and they think they are getting a security property they
 really aren't. This is bad. We should fix that situation.

 So may be leaving the users with a new Tor that suddenly just doesn't
 work, because they checked the usebridges box but didn't added any, is a
 good way of saying "update your Vidalia too".

 I guess if we consider this a security issue, we can ignore backward
 compatibility.
