New description:

 DNS: couldn't open /etc/resolv.conf: No such file or directory
 Disabling disk cache: No such file or directory
 Disabling local tree: No such file or directory
 Established listening socket on port 8123.

 I am continually getting the above error with Polipo.
 If I ignore it and go into my browser (opera) it just says Could not
 connect to proxy server. Access denied

 I used to use Privoxy and I had no problems..
 I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate
