 After ticket #2391 is done (and possibly after #2392), we should see if
 RAM usage has gone down, and if not, try to reduce the number of
 sqlalchemy objects in memory.

 In the meantime, a quick hack would be to alter the cron script to restart
 the bwauthority.py scanners every 2 weeks.
