Comment:

 This was a decision taken by google's engineers to not link from encrypted
 Web Search to other search types (like Image Search) that aren't available
 in encrypted form.  They made this decision thinking that the only people
 doing https:// searches would be those who manually added the "s", not
 people using Firefox extensions to encrypt every search.

 I don't think it's HTTPS Everywhere's job to try to change every results
 page to undo that decision the Google Engineers made.  However, there is
 another Firefox extension called OptimizeGoogle where that might be a
 realistic feature request: !http://www.optimizegoogle.com/.
