 Also, in your opinion, do you think I should do this Extended OR port
 refactoring, before or after #4685 gets delivered?

 I would like to do it before #4685, but if we want to have
 '''everything''' in #3591 crossed-out for #4685 it would make more sense
 to do it afterwards. I think a sane plan, would be to prepare the
 specification side of this for #4685, and implement it afterwards (or even
 before, if I end up having enough time).
