 I am building this on Linux with the following configure arguments:

  ./configure --disable-screensaver --disable-gstreamer --disable-vv
 --disable-idn --disable-meanwhile --disable-dbus --disable-perl --disable-
 tcl --enable-gnutls=no --enable-nss=yes --disable-consoleui
 time make
 }}}

 This produces a Pidgin and I will use this as the basis for my work.
