 I was encountering the same error as above:

 XML Parsing Error: no element found
 Location:

 The error is experienced when enabling the TORbutton (1.2.5) in Mozilla
 Firefox (3.6.9) and trying to browse any webpage. I have installed
 vidalia-bundle-0.2.1.26-0.2.9.exe and UNCHECKED "Polipo" during the
 installation.

 Everything installs fine, but when I checked the TORbutton options; "Use
 Polipo" is still checked. Unchecking that options said error.


 **The install packagers @ torproject.org need to fix this.......
