 The original idea was that the cryptic log message would appear at
 whatever severity the other log messages appear. So if there's a warn, it
 hopefully actually tells you what the issue is, and as a bonus, there's
 this cryptic log message that is useful for developers.

 And if no warn, then the cryptic log message shouldn't be a warn.
