Comment:

 My first thought is that your openssl has renegotiation disabled. More
 recent Tors try to workaround that bug in some openssl packages. It would
 be good to try a more recent Tor, and let us know if the problems are
 still persisting. You added several variables at once, and are
 experiencing 1 or 2 bugs, I'm not sure which, at least one of which is
 known.
