 Nick and I were discussing backups this morning. Nick wonders if there is
 a way to authenticate that our files have not changed once backed up, and
 to verify that the files are not changed in transit.  The ways we can
 think of doing this involve sha256 hashes of all files backed up, and
 verifying these hashes haven't changed periodically.
