Thanks for the effort and initiative, but as the primary maintainer, I'm
not ready to go there yet.

You might also consider working on this project:
https://github.com/thaliproject/Tor_Onion_Proxy_Library/ as this is
likely to become the basis of a future refactoring of Orbot, and/or a
standalone Tor Service app.
