I think a possibly good way to avoid the prompt might be a method Tom and
Mark suggested before: block image extraction without showing the prompt
unless the extraction attempt happens following a user interaction:

And indeed this would provide scripts a way of silently checking for canvas
fingerprinting protection. On load, draw on a canvas and attempt to
extract: if the returned image is blank, the page knows not to do it again
after a user interaction.
