 on linux 64 bits, no additional plugins/extensions, "safest" security
 setting, javascript disabled (javascript.enabled = false)

 i clearly notice lower performance in content when i execute some of my
 own scripts (e.g. entered in the console), delays of up to a second or
 slightly more for operations which in 8.5.5 were instantaneous, but i can
 also perceive some general performance degradation for chrome

 did you change some compilation optimisation parameters? or ionmonkey
 optimisation preferences?
