 Hi, thanks for reporting this! Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce
 this. In `about:config` I set `browser.download.useDownloadDir` to `true`,
 but downloading a file still causes the app to crash.

 The reason the app crashes is #28705. Specifically, on Oreo and Pie,
 during downloading the app creates a notification that violates a (new)
 Android policy - so Android crashes the app.

 Is there another preference or setting that requires changing for this?
