 Oh, and that comment made me think that we could capture a relevant
 "update-applicable" notification (assuming the updater related code is
 emitting something usable before/during the green icon is shown on the
 hamburger menu), set a flag and flush the startup cache in Torbutton
 during shutdown in case that flag is set.

 Just as a "we-don't-have-a-better-solution"-solution...
