 Here are the details.

 1. yes, I am using clean install of tbb.

 2. No, i don't see the same problem in any of the firefox versions. Not in
 any other browser or explorer or any other app on my system.

 I was using 'windows 8 font changer' on my clean install of 'windows 10
 pro'. to change some fonts in file explorer. i always do that. Now a days
 my favourite font bundle is Ubuntu. Now after your reply i changed
 fonts(icons, tooltips, menu etc) back to Tahoma/Verdana. And now
 everything appears normal. May be the Ubuntu mono font that I was using
 was the main culprit.
