[ooni-dev] Reminder for weekly OONI dev gathering Monday 2016-05-09 17:00 UTC (19:00 CEST)

Hello Oonitarians,

This is a reminder that today there will be the weekly OONI gathering.

As to avoid cluttering the gathering with report backs we shall be writing these inside of
the following pad: https://storm.torproject.org/grain/xLzNzE64JiHuMERL25Gkrq.

Feel free to add what you did last week in there. The link will then also be shared during
the gathering.

Items from last week that we didn’t discuss:

* Come to an agreement on what should be the canonical place to store issues (currently it’s a mess since
some tickets are in github, some are on trac and there is no place where we specify what should be the policy for
using one or the other system).

* Discuss https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/18606

New items for this week:

* Discuss the possibility of changing the behaviour of ooniprobe on first run, namely having it spawn an interactive
prompt for configuring it and running. Potentially also consolidate oonideckgen, ooniresources and oonireport as
subcommands of ooniprobe.

* Discuss deprecating dns_consistency, http_requests and tcp_connect once web_connectivity is merged.

It will happen as usual on the #ooni channel on irc.oftc.net at 17:00 UTC (19:00 CEST, 13:00 EST, 10:00 PST).
