 The pre-release was produced with a very old java update-version `Created-
 By: 1.8.0_121-b13 (Oracle Corporation)` from January 2017, current is 171
 from April 2018 (cf.
 [https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/release_dates.xml Oracle release
 listing] and
 [https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/alerts-086861.html
 critical patch descriptions]).  The difference leads to unproducible
 bytecode for DescriptorReaderImpl.  I don't have that release at hand
 anymore.

 All other checks and tests passed.  If irl maybe can confirm using an
 older Java?
