Comment:

 This is partly resolved as part of #27234, where I fixed the
 System.err/out logging (without recalling that this ticket exists), and I
 just pushed another commit to the branch there to resolve the last part,
 which is logging in the legacy/servers module. Setting #27234 as parent
 ticket, so that we remember to close this ticket after merging those
 changes.
