Hi all!

We're making a change to the location of our next meeting. We're
going with Mexico City instead of Santiago because the cost of Santiago
flights is turning out to be too prohibitive.

We understand that a number of people might be disappointed by this
change. We were really determined to have our next meeting in South
America, and we initially had planned on São Paulo as the location. But
due to recent political events in the country, the Brazilian Tor folks
suggested that this was a bad time to make the trip to Brazil. At the
Rome meeting, a group of us enthusiastically decided on Santiago
instead, but as we began the planning we realized it was going to be
prohibitively expensive.

Mexico City was on our list of Global South locations from when we began
the conversation at the Amsterdam meeting. Flight costs from all over
the world are lower than they are for Santiago, we have some Tor
community there, and it's an excellent city with amazing food and things
to see and do. A reminder that while Mexico is in North America it’s also part of
Latin America and it's been part of our Global South definition since
we initially started talking about this.
