Hello!
I tried to use the socks5 proxy in applications like Pale Moon. I
noticed that when using IPv6 only targets like
http://[2600:1901:0:b2bd::]/ip, it doesn't connect all the time. I
assume TOR itself chose a circuit that doesn't have an IPv6 capable
exit.
I also noticed that when the exit has IPv6 capability, it prefers IPv4
if a hostname is being used.
This can also be checked with https://dorfdsl.de/ip.php
I also checked that behavior with a local installed danted, it prefers
IPv6 with that.
If I query the IP in TOR metrics, I see that the exit is IPv6 capable.
Is that cause by the socks client or by the TOR daemon itself?
