Hi all,
is anyone willing to talk me through getting Obfsproxy working on
OSX10.4? I've got as far as Step 3 on

but can't find the Obfsproxy binary; and since I have no idea what 'pip'
does, even though it reports the 'package' as installed, I am at a loss.

Hi Geoff,

Can you provide information on how (or if) you installed python and tor on OS X 10.4?
As there is no standard package manager on OS X, you may have used fink, MacPorts, HomeBrew, or custom builds.
Each of these methods installs in a different location.

It also helps to let us know what you’ve tried already.
Have you tried looking in /usr/local/bin ?
Have you tried searching your $PATH using command -V obfsproxy ?
Have you tried looking in /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages , or the $PYTHONPATH used by your package manager / python install?

It’s also worth noting that obfs4 is the latest version of obfsproxy.
It’s written in Go, and installation instructions are at https://github.com/Yawning/obfs4

I’m not sure if obfs4 is ready to be included in the instructions at https://www.torproject.org/projects/obfsproxy-instructions.html.en#instructions , or if it could have been added long ago.
