Well, depending on how much world wide connectivity you're willing to sacrifice you could purchase an American S3 which have just under 2GB of RAM and a higher clocked processor. I think the S3 is one of the few phones where the international version is actually lower spec than the American locked one.

If i try to get involved in the orbot relay it's better off not trying and just sticking to a transparent proxy through root. 832 mb is just not enough over all and ram swap won't work on the CM 11 rom i have. Love the S3 and don't want an upgrade. Unless i can do something about the ram situation. It's dire!!On Sat, Aug 16, 2014 at 8:54 PM, IceFish ThreeTwo <threehundredthirtytwofishes@gmail.com> wrote:
Hmm. Well I was an android for a number of years until a few weeks ago when I switched to iPhone, so I might be some help. What exactly are you trying to do that there's not enough RAM for?Yes. It's not enough ram and I'm stumped about what to do about it. The CM 11 ROM will not allow RAM swap. Not sure what else to do. Love the phone apart from that....
