Stable TBB QA v2.2.38-1

We've got another TBB stable release. This one only updates the Tor binary to 0.2.2.38 without any other substantial changes. As such, we're just going to ask for a quick 24 hour test before we publish it at around this time tomorrow. A simple "It works for me on platform X" is good enough for this one, I think. You can get the binaries + signed SHA sums here: https://people.torproject.org/~erinn/qa/stable/ -- Mike Perry

Testing: tor-browser-gnu-linux-x86_64-2.2.38-1-dev-en-US.tar.gz Platform: Fedora 17 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz
TBB Launches successfully - OK Connects to the Tor network - OK Browser toolbars and menus work. Tab dragging works. - OK DNS - No leaks observed (wireshark)
All extensions are present and functional - OK - HTTPS-Everywhere 2.1 - NoScript 2.5 - TorButton 1.4.6
WebBrowsing works as expected - OK - HTTP, HTTPS, .onion browsing works - HTML5 videos work - ip-check.info - OK - samy.pl/evercookie - OK (new identity clears cookie) - html5demos.com/web-socket - Not Connected / Socket Closed
Other issues - None

tor-browser-gnu-linux-x86_64-2.2.38-1-dev-en-US.tar.gz working well on Debian 6.0.5. Tested .onion, regular web, and configured to use static control/SOCKS port for email client. (And no permissions problem as you promised!) -- kat

tor-browser-gnu-linux-x86_64-2.2.38-1-dev-en OK on RHEL6 Basic tests: OK: ip-check.info OK: samy.pl/evercookie/ OK: html5demos.com/web-socket On another note, Socket.IO seems to work in all TBB's (able to send and receive messages), however, I can't use Wireshark on this machine to check if it's bypassing the proxy. Probably not, but you never know. —Sam -- Sam Whited pub 4096R/EC2C9934 SamWhited.com sam@samwhited.com 404.492.6008
