This means that by default lighttpd doesn't recognize that file as a valid index and returns a 404 whenever someone visits the root directory. Visiting the pages manually causes it to be downloaded rather than viewed. I guess lighttpd could rewrite the requests for *.html.en to *.html, or return .en as html/text, but I don't think that's what "Multiviews" means as far as I know. Tips would be appreciated. So again, can this multiview functionality be accomplished under lighttpd, and if so, what do I need to change in the config file? Jesse V.
