<tt>I downloaded this app yet but have not yet had time to install and
try it out. Before I do, in all honesty, does pumping DNS through Tor
like this make lookups insanely slow compared to how they would be
otherwise, either through a direct connection or through tor via SOCKS?
I have my own DNs server going on here, and it's pretty fast, though
Tor is still obviously slow even when not tunneling DNS.<br>

resolve hostnames, it should

That is because you did not set it up properly..... you need to change
your DNS network
<br>
settings to localhost....primary DNS changed to localhost (usually
127.0.0.1) and seconday
<br>
DNS you leave blank, so windows does not attempt to connect to any
other DNS server
<br>
but TorDNS.
<br>
