<p dir="ltr">I remember Ubuntu and other Debian-based systems moving from upstart to systemd. I don't know the details, but I know systemd manages services among other things. </p>
<p dir="ltr">I'm not sure if systemd is actually required for Tor to run, so I guess compile it and see what happens. </p>

yep how right you are, I tested it but it pulled in libsystemd for some reason<br>
and the whole point of moving to devuan was to get away from that unneeded dependency.<br>
