 I reported a bug at perl for perl5 which got resolved
 (https://rt.perl.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=128740), zefram wrote
 (https://rt.perl.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=128740#txn-1413997):

 "I suspect it's not a real libc, but torsocks:
 https://gitweb.torproject.org/torsocks.git/tree/src/lib/gethostbyname.c#n92
 torify is a command that LD_PRELOADs libtorsocks, which replaces
 gethostbyname() etc."


 I don't understand enough of torsocks to know how to fix and sent in a
 patch. If you need more debugging information from my side, specify what I
 can provide in outputs/inputs.
